I know, I know, a Summer Sale pretty much spell out the end of Summer for most of us, especially in the UK. And goodness knows we have really been through it this Summer with our on, off and on again sunshine and rays. Summer this year for 2021 really has been intermittent like my Summer wardrobe. But nevertheless it won’t stop me looking at the Summer sale for items in 2022!

Short and Sweet
If it is one staple item I’ll continue to return to year in and year out. It will always be the shorts. I have seen a lot of cute shorts this year. I mean a lot of cute classics. My go to summer shorts this year, have been the classic high waist safari style short. I love a high waist anything.
I find it a classy fit and feel, it flatters most if not all body shapes. The perfect summer capsule staple that can be easily styled casual or glammed up, with heels and a cute top. I love the shorts worn in these photos, in this classic beige colour, never gets old. Keep neutral with other nude tones or add colour. Whatever floats your boat.
Spill the T-Shirt
Another Summer sale staple to have in your capsule wardrobe, in my opinion is a good old basic bitch t-shirt. Again in my opinion you can never have too many and I like to think, I am building quite a collection. You can guarantee to find in the Summer sale a great selection of basic t-shirts. I now mostly look for in a t-shirt, other than ethically sourced and made. A great shape. This could be a great neck line, like a crew neck, v-line or wide. I generally love a long sleeve but just above the elbow, for that 90s vibe or half way down the top arm.
Shirt-Less
I know most rave about the linen shirt in the summer and they would be absolutely right. For it’s reputation for keeping its wearer cool and comfortable. But I would be wrong if I said that linen really does crease me up, with slight annoyance. Don’t get me wrong I love a linen shirt, I just wish it wouldn’t crease so much with each movement. So I would normally opt for a cotton shirt. Arket do some really cool basic shirts and t-shirts.
Sun-Glance-Less
In other words Sunglasses (I just made it up, do you like it?) Just like wearing sunscreen for your skin is important, so are wearing UV ray sunglasses. Think of sunglasses as sunscreen for your beautiful eyes. I recently went to my opticians and she said, they have a record high of people coming in with sun related damage to their eyes. Don’t be one of them. So many cute options to elevate your look in the summer sale. My fave sunglasses style would have to be large, like movie star large. It makes me feel good and hides those tired or hayfever eyes.
Summer Hat
Now I have tried to be that girl in the pass with summer hats. But felt I just couldn’t get into that trend. Until now, I think. I have seen a few cute ones, on other creators such as Anna from ‘The Anna Edit’ and Estee Lalonde and lets just say I may be sold. A summer hat just like sunglasses, will protect your eyes and face from premature sun damage too. I love the bucket style straw hat for that Boho, chic, relaxed vibe, I hope it is in the summer sale.
